PRIVACY NOTICE
Last updated: October 2026

1. Who we are
This website is run by Tim Routledge Design Limited (“TRD”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England & Wales, company number 17094485, registered office 18 Church Grove, Hampton Wick, London, KT1 4AL. We are the controller of the personal data described in this notice. If you have any questions about it, email trld@timroutledge.co.uk.

2. What we collect and why
When you contact us. If you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address and your message. We use them only to read and reply to your enquiry, and to follow up on any work it leads to. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who get in touch (and, where you ask us for a quote or to work with you, taking steps towards a contract). The form sends your message to us by email; it is not stored in a database on this website.

When you email or work with us. We keep the contact details and correspondence needed to discuss, quote for and deliver projects, and to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

When you browse the site. Like most websites, our web server keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to keep the site secure and working. These are deleted automatically after a short period.

Visitor statistics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see, in total, how many people visit and which pages are popular. It does not use cookies, does not identify you and does not track you across other websites. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used. We do not use advertising tracking.

3. Cookies
This website sets one essential cookie that keeps the site and the contact form working securely; it is deleted when you close your browser. We do not set advertising or analytics cookies. Some pages include videos from YouTube and Vimeo, and our fonts are provided by Adobe Fonts. These services receive your IP address when their content loads and may set their own cookies, under their own privacy policies.

4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data or share it for marketing. We use trusted service providers to run our business, who process data on our behalf: DigitalOcean (website hosting, UK), Cloudflare (visitor statistics), Mailgun (delivering contact-form emails) and Google Workspace (email). Some of these providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, they are covered by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum. We may also share information with our professional advisers, or where the law requires it.

5. How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as needed to deal with them, and normally no longer than two years after our last contact unless we are working together. Project and business records are kept for as long as the law requires (usually six years for accounting records).

6. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to ask us to transfer it. To make a request, email trld@timroutledge.co.uk. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

7. Changes
We may update this notice from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
